Welcome to Rokushii Kennels. We have been the proud owners of Akitas since 2003. The arrival of Roxy - Dantiís Foxy Lady, our first much loved Akita who, after much research into the breed, became the familyís pet, led to the establishment of the Rokushii kennels.

Sarah and Kirk live with their 4 children, 8 magnificent Akitas, 2 Japanese Shiba Inuís and 2 Alaskan Malamutes. On our Rokushii site you can read about how we first fell in love with the breeds, have a look at photos of all of our dogs, find out all about each breed and what owning one entails.

You can follow the successful show careers of our wonderful dogs and follow our breeding plans. We will also list current puppies for sale and provide information relating to future planned matings.

A Brief History

2003 - Roxy - Danti’s Foxy Lady - the beginning .......

2005 - Misty - Jedisty U Take My Breath Away shown lightly at open shows.

2007 - Misty - Jedisty U Take My Breath Away X Mikey - Nosferatu The Heat is on at Danti produced a beautiful litter of 11 puppies - bitches and dogs including Genna - Rokushii's Snow on a Mountain.

2008 - A wonderful time for Rokushii Akitas as our home-bred star Genna Ė Rokushiiís Snow on a Mountain - at the tender age of 8 months placed 2nd Akita Open and took Reserve Best of Breed, Best Puppy, Judges Special Best Opposite Sex, and Judges Special Best Puppy. This was a wonderful start of Genna's show career, Since then she has placed 1st and 2nd at every show she has attended. We look forward to the future showing our rising star.

Izzy - Seijitsu Noth'n Sweet Abou' Me was also introduced towards the end of the year and joins the campaign team.

2010 - Lewis - Danti's Pole Position - litter brother to Australian CH Danti Down Under at Goodomen, joined our family. The opportunity for him to join our kennel was just too good to miss. He is a stunning example of the Akita breed and already has gained success at Southern Counties Dog Show gaining a 1st in his class. In 2011 Lewis placed 2nd in Post Graduate at Crufts, This was such an achievement for us and he did us proud.

We know he will continue to be successful and look forward to including him in our planned future matings.

In 2014, we were over the moon to introduce our lovely Angus (Calicelesti Back in Black) to our Family. Angus is co-owned by Myself, June Watson (Calicelesti Kennel) and Craig Bannon (Cannonbar Akitas). Angus gained his First Reserve Green Star whilst being campaigned in Ireland before coming to the UK. Angus has gained his Stud Book Number and is qualified for Crufts for life.

We have, since then, introduced our Alaskan Malamutes, Maya and her daughter Phoenix (from her first Litter). Last, but not least, we introduced our two Japanese Shiba Inus - Narla and Cheiko. Narla is handled by my daughter Kiera.

We are looking forward to the continuing campaigning of our wonderful dogs at forthcoming Open and Championship Shows.
